Visit Cameron Highlands

Your data

Privacy policy

Short and honest: Visit Cameron Highlands is a static information site. We don’t ask you to log in, we don’t run ads, and right now we don’t even count visits. Here’s exactly what that means.

The short version

As of June 2026 this site collects no personal data, sets no cookies of its own, and runs no analytics or advertising trackers. There are no accounts and no sign-up forms. You can read the whole guide without giving us anything.

What we don’t collect

Because this is a read-only travel guide, there’s very little to collect — and we’ve kept it that way on purpose. We don’t:

  • ask you to create an account or log in;
  • run a newsletter sign-up, contact form or comments that store your details;
  • show third-party ads or use advertising/retargeting pixels;
  • set our own tracking cookies or sell, rent or share data (we have none to share).

Third-party content we do use

Two things on the site involve other companies, and they have their own privacy practices:

  • The map embed. Our map page embeds an interactive Google Map. When that map loads, Google may set its own cookies and receive your IP address, governed by Google’s privacy policy. If you’d rather avoid it, simply don’t open the map page.
  • Outbound links. We link out to booking platforms, bus operators and official sites so you can plan and book. Once you leave our site, those companies’ own privacy policies apply — not this one.
  • Hosting. Like any website, our host processes standard server request logs (such as IP addresses) to deliver pages and guard against abuse. We don’t use those logs to build profiles of you.

Analytics — what may change

To understand which guides are useful, we plan to add privacy-respecting analytics (such as Google Analytics 4) at some point. We haven’t yet. When we do, this page will be updated before it goes live to explain what’s measured — broadly, anonymous, aggregated usage like page views and rough location, never your name or anything that identifies you — and how to opt out. We’ll keep the data we collect to the minimum that actually helps us improve the guide.

Your choices

You’re always in control of cookies through your browser settings — you can block or delete them at any time, including any set by the embedded Google Map. If we add analytics later, you can also opt out via your browser and through Google’s Analytics opt-out. Because we currently hold no personal data about you, there’s nothing for us to delete on request — but that will be covered here too if it ever changes.

Children

This is a general travel guide, not aimed at children, and we don’t knowingly collect data from anyone — adult or child.

Contact

Since we collect no personal data, you can manage everything yourself through your browser’s privacy controls — there’s nothing held on our side to request. More about who runs this guide is on the About page.

Last updated: June 2026. We’ll update this page whenever our use of cookies, analytics or data changes — and always before any new collection begins.
