“Cameron Highlands rose garden” actually means one of two different places, and people often mix them up. The Rose Centre at Kea Farm is the larger, better-known one — terraced rose beds climbing a hillside to a giant shoe sculpture and a hilltop viewpoint over the Kea Farm valley. Rose Valley, further north at Tringkap, is an older garden that leans on its many rose varieties and a giant decorative vase. Both are commercial photo gardens with a lot of steps, and the roses aren’t always in full bloom — pick one rather than doing both, and for most people the Rose Centre is the better visit.

What to expect
- Rose Centre: terraced rose beds climbing the hillside, with hundreds of rose varieties
- Rose Centre’s landmark giant shoe sculpture and the hilltop viewpoint over the Kea Farm valley
- Cactus, fruit and aloe sections, fountains, murals and stone sculptures dotted around
- Rose Valley (Tringkap): a claimed 450 varieties, including thornless and dark roses, and a giant vase
- Photo-friendly walkways and pergolas at both — and a lot of steps
Our independent tip
Pick one. The Rose Centre is the better all-round visit — bigger, with the giant shoe and the valley view — while Rose Valley is mainly for serious rose fans chasing rare varieties. Wear shoes with grip, as both involve a lot of steps that get slick when wet, and bring small cash for the gate. If blooms are your main reason to come, ask at the entrance whether the roses are actually out.
Frequently asked questions
Is the “Cameron Highlands rose garden” the Rose Centre or Rose Valley?
They’re two different gardens. The Rose Centre is at Kea Farm (a few kilometres from Brinchang) and is the larger, more popular one, with the giant shoe and the hilltop viewpoint. Rose Valley is a separate, older garden at Tringkap, further north, known for its many rose varieties and a giant vase. Most searches for “rose garden” point to the Rose Centre.
How much is the entry fee?
It’s a small cash fee paid at the gate, but the exact amount isn’t consistently published and appears to change — roughly RM 3–4 per adult at the Rose Centre and RM 5–6 at Rose Valley, with reduced child rates. Treat any figure as approximate and confirm on arrival.
Are the roses always in bloom?
No. These are working commercial gardens and the roses aren’t guaranteed to be in full bloom year-round, so some visitors find fewer flowers than expected. The terraces, viewpoint and photo spots are there regardless — if blooms are your only reason to go, ask at the gate first.
